Price looking to "go one better" in Players Championship Finals

Gerwyn Price this time last year had just come off the back of defending his Grand Slam of Darts title for a second time.

This time heading into the Players Championship Finals, he is without the Eric Bristow trophy but he wants to add a new addition to his collection this weekend in Coventry.

Last year, Price reached the final losing out to Michael van Gerwen and his attention has turned to going one better.

"Having held the Grand Slam title for two years, of course it hurt to lose," said Price.

"But as soon as that game was over I put it behind me and turned my focus to this tournament.

"The Players Championship Finals is a tournament I like. I did really well here last year but came up just short in the final, hopefully I can go one better this time."
