Price reaches Grand Slam semi-finals after repeat of last year's final

Gerwyn Price is through to his second consecutive Grand Slam of Darts semi-final after defeating Gary Anderson in a repeat of last year's final.

The Welshman punished Anderson for missing a lot of doubles. The Scotsman went 0/9 doubles in the first session as Price took a quick 5-0 lead.

Anderson hit his first double in the sixth leg, but missed four darts to reduce the deficit to 5-2. Price hit double 10 for 6-1 and produced back-to-back 14-dart legs to extend his lead to 8-2.

In the third session Anderson finally managed to find the doubles as he finished three legs within 15 darts to come back to 9-6. However Price regained the momentum after the third interval, winning four of the next five legs to lead 13-7.

Anderson then reduced the deficit to 14-9 before The Iceman finished off the match in style with a superb 109 checkout and a 14-dart leg. The defending champion will meet either Michael van Gerwen or Adrian Lewis in the semi-finals.
