Gerwyn Price sealed the New Zealand Darts Masters this past weekend but ahead of a busy back end of 2022, he is all set to pick and choose his tournaments wisely.
Price will play in Budapest next weekend as the European Tour returns but said ahead of the World Grand Prix in early October, he will take some time off.
“It’s all good and well coming Down Under and playing these tournaments, but the main tournaments are the rankings ones,” he told Online Darts.
“I’m off to Budapest [for the Hungarian Darts Trophy] to try and win that one next week, then it’s Jena [for the German Darts Open] the week after, then it’s World Series Finals [in Amsterdam].
“I’m then taking a break before the Grand Prix. It’s a busy one and I’m going to take a week off before the big one.”
“I’m home Monday afternoon, then I’m away Thursday night ready to fly Friday morning. It’s no rest for the wicked but I’m more than prepared. I’m looking forward to the ranking events that are coming up."
