Prolific Price downs Clayton to seal maiden World Series of Darts title at New Zealand Darts Masters

Gerwyn Price has sealed his maiden World Series of Darts title defeating his World Cup of Darts teammate, Jonny Clayton in another comeback win at the New Zealand Darts Masters.

Price came from 4-2 down to see off Clayton in an 8-4 win reeling off six consecutive legs in the process to seal the title after losing in the final in Townsville.

Clayton began the final with a 110 checkout to level up at 1-1 before breaking and holding to open up that 4-2 lead.

But from there, Price went berserk and found his range returning from the interval breaking with a 12-darter at 4-4 and he broke again to go 6-4 up before sealing the deal and being crowned champion.
