The second night of action at the Czech Darts Open finished with three thrilling ties to end proceedings with Gerwyn Price, Jamie Hughes and Corey Cadby all through to the final day.

Price put in the performance of the night both average wise but overall with 'The Iceman' hitting a magical nine-dart finish en route to a thrilling victory over Glen Durrant.
He didn't start as great; with 'Duzza' taking full advantage of Price averaging just 75 to take a 3-0 lead but he started to find his feet. Soon after it was at parity with a 130 checkout from him signalling the start of his brilliance.
He made it four legs in a row with 4/7 on the doubles at this point; and at 5-3 was threatening to run away with the win with no resistance. Durrant stopped the rot at 5-4 but Price in the following leg produced the nine-dart finish to claim the tie and send the crowd into raptures.
Hughes continued the cull of the seeds which took place today with a crushing 6-0 whitewash win over Adrian Lewis.
Seemingly like with John Henderson, Lewis struggled with the heat and Hughes reaches the final day to continue his brilliant first half of 2019. Will 'Yozza' take advantage of the shocks and claim a first title this weekend?
Finally it was the turn of Cadby who took on Michael Smith in on paper was a barnstormer but it was 'The King' who was threatening to run away with it streaking to a 3-0 lead over 'Bully Boy' who just wasn't firing.
Cadby extended his lead to 4-1 with a 98 average and 66 percent on the doubles at this point but when he reached 5-1, the problems started to arise.
Missed doubles when it looked like he was going to claim a crushing win crept in and Smith broke the throw with a 13 darter to make it 5-2.
From there he tied the contest up at 5-5 after Cadby had missed seven match darts. It seemed like Smith was in the ascendancy after being in the doldrums to begin the contest.
Cadby though finally got over the line against the St Helens ace to continue his progression throguh to the final day on debut on the European Tour. A battle of the Kings with Mervyn King awaits, who will prevail?
