Gerwyn Price claimed victory over Glen Durrant in an epic match between the pair which had a conclusion befitting of the tie where Price hit the magical nine-dart finish.
It is a first for Price in his career and what a way to do it. He ended up going the usual 180, 180, 141 route in the process and given the confidence he showed all the way through the match; it was just there to be hit.
As a result of hitting this nine-dart finish, it is a 29th of the year; meaning at the half-way point last year’s total has already been reached. It is also a fourth on the European Tour this year which many wouldn’t have expected after there wasn’t one for so long.
