Price withdraws from Day Three of PDC Super Series due to illness

World Number One and World Champion, Gerwyn Price has withdrawn from Day Three of the PDC Super Series in Bolton due to illness.

Price has not been at his best over the past few days losing to Gary Anderson on the opening day before a shock defeat to Aaron Beeney in the second round on Day Two.

But it has been duly noted that 'The Iceman' has seemingly been suffering over the past few days with his Instagram stories yesterday seeing him take medication.

Joe Cullen as a result has felt the rewards of his victory on Day One as he went up to second on the ProTour Order of Merit and now straight through to the Last 64.

It has since been revealed that Price has an ear infection so has decided to go home and rest up ahead of the UK Open.
