Prize Fund breakdown for 2020 PDC Challenge Tour

The Challenge Tour is next up on the PDC Calendar with the first weekend of action kicking off the new season before the Masters, ProTour and Premier League return in the coming weeks.

It sees PDPA Associate Members who did not claim Tour Cards at the recent PDC Q-School such as Scott Mitchell, Jim Williams and Cameron Menzies take to the secondary tour in 24 events in various venues.

The winners of each event claim £2,000 with there being two events per day and four per weekend. This means an overall prize fund of £240,000 spread over those events.

These events also carry incentives with players earning spots for Players Championship events with players either deciding not to play in them due to scheduling or in some cases the fact they have to come over to the UK from different countries.

This means that often there are multiple spots available which are filled by the best of the Challenge Tour. Also the winner of the ranking at the end of the year receives a World Championship invite with the top two winning Tour Cards for 2021/22.
