Prize money breakdown 2022 European Championship with £500,000 on offer

The 15th edition of the European Championship will be played from 27 October to 30 October. The PDC has made £500,000 in prize money available for Dortmund.

All 32 participants are guaranteed a starting prize of £6,000. A win in the first round increases the proceeds to £10,000. A quarter-final spot earns £20,000.

The semi-finalists go home with a minimum of £32,000. The losing finalist receives £60,000, while the winner of the European Darts Championship gets a cheque for £120,000.

Last year, this tournament was won by Rob Cross, who finished off Michael van Gerwen in the final. It was his second title at the European Darts Championship, after he was also the strongest in 2019. Van Gerwen won the European Championship in turn in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The other tournament winners are Phil Taylor (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011), Simon Whitlock (2012), Adrian Lewis (2013), James Wade (2018) and Peter Wright (2020).
