From Friday 4 March to Sunday 6 March, 158 players will battle it out for the overall win at the UK Open. As well as the silverware, there will also be a fight for the accompanying cheque for £100,000 in prize money.
A total of £450,000 in prize money will be distributed at the UK Open. To be eligible for prize money, participants must reach at least the last 96. The top-64 of the world ranking list are already assured of a prize money. The players between 1 and 32 on the world ranking list enter from the last 64, while the numbers 33-64 start from the last 96.
The other participants start in the first or second round of the tournament. They therefore have to win one or two matches to earn money from the FA Cup of Darts.
Reaching the last 96 is rewarded with an amount of 1000 pounds, a round further provides 2000 pounds. If you win your match in the last 64, that amount is doubled to £4000.
If you make it to the last sixteen at the UK Open, you get £7500 credited to your account and PDC Order of Merit. On the final day of the UK Open, the quarter finals, semi finals and final are played.
The players who qualify for the final day are guaranteed a cheque for 12,500 pounds. That amount can rise to £20,000 for reaching the semi-finals at the UK Open. The losing finalist will receive £40,000 and the winner £100,000.
