The final session is upon us at the 2022
UK Open with a new major champion set to be crowned at the end of Sunday evening.
Michael Smith will be seen by many as the favourite to pick up what would be his first major and a long overdue one at that but like anything, he will have obstacles still to get there.
His first one being the young Irish talent, Keane Barry who like many who have come through from this age group have shown no fear in beating the elite and 'Dynamite' will be looking to take the scalp of 'Bully Boy' en route to his first major title.
In the other half of the draw sees William O'Connor face the only other former major finalist in the field in Danny Noppert.
Having rode his luck at times this weekend mostly against Stephen Bunting, O'Connor emerged to see off Peter Wright then edge past Sebastian Bialecki to reach this point.
While Noppert has been in terrific form all weekend defeating Damon Heta this afternoon to reach this point.
It is only the second weekend back for the Dutchman after becoming a father for the first time but he could yet go home a major champion from it.
