From Friday, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, Butlin's Resort in Minehead will once again be the setting for the Players Championship Finals, the final tournament prior to the Darts World Cup. A total of 600,000 pounds in prize money will be distributed to the 64 participants this year, once again placing the event among the more lucrative tournaments of the year.
The Players Championship Finals will be held for the eighteenth time this year. The first edition took place in 2009, when the total prize money was still 200,000 pounds and the champion went home with 50,000 pounds. Since then, the tournament has become a fixture on the calendar, with significant growth in prestige as well as prize money. The 2025 winner can count on 120,000 pounds, more than double the original grand prize.

After four editions at Circus Tavern (2) and Doncaster (2) , the event moved to Minehead in 2012, where it has been played annually ever since. Until 2015, the field of participants still consisted of 32 players, but from 2016 the number was increased to 64, to better represent the broad top of the PDC Pro Tour.
Due to the large number of matches, two stages will be used during the first two days. The main stage will be televised live, while the matches on the second stage can be followed via a live stream on PDC TV.
All participants are guaranteed a starting premium of 3,000 pounds. A win in the opening round more than doubles that amount, to 6,500 pounds. Those who manage to qualify for the last sixteen will receive £10,000, while a spot in the quarter-finals is good for £20,000.
The semi-finalists receive £30,000, the losing finalist earns £60,000, and the champion gets to credit £120,000. All prize money also counts in full toward the world rankings, making strong performances in Minehead pay off not only financially, but also athletically.
Defending champion Luke Humphries made history last year by winning the Players Championship Finals for the second time in a row. In a high-stakes final, he defeated Luke Littler 11-7.
