Nathan Rafferty is through to the Last 16 of the
Grand Slam of Darts where he will face off against Jonny Clayton after a dramatic win over Krzysztof Ratajski.
Rafferty survived multiple match darts against Ratajski before pinning 67 for victory as his emergence on his TV debut continues.
"I'm so nervous and anxious and just over the moon to win. It's a dream come true, me and Matt (his manager) were sending these quotes to other, inspirational things to get us going and just something clicked once he hit that 180, it gave me fire in my belly to punch back and lucky I did," said Rafferty post match.
"There's a few times in that game I said you blew it. I knew he's vulnerable on TV, I knew if I could stick the pressure on him it'd happen, lucky them last 11 or 12 darts went in for me."
Next up will be Jonny Clayton and he had had praise for 'The Ferret' ahead of their clash.
"I played the best name probably in the world too is Gerwyn Price, I've played Jonny a few times now so I know what to expect, he's a gentleman and a great darts player."
