Krzysztof Ratajski is through to the Quarter-Finals of the World Matchplay after edging past Gabriel Clemens in a 12-10 win.
Ratajski averaged 99.7 in a gruelling contest and will now take on Michael Smith after reaching this stage for the first time, can 'The Polish Eagle' go all the way?
Ratajski was in command in the early going opening up a 4-2 lead over Clemens. He led by two again at the halfway stage by making it 6-4 with a 95.7 average and three 180's.
Clemens kept adding the pressure though and was on the coattails at 7-6 and this continued but could he find a breakthrough. Ratajski attempted to make sure this wasn't the case as he went 9-7 ahead with a 130 checkout on the bull.
But Clemens broke back for the first time since the second leg to make it 9-9 and he was suddenly on the verge with an 85 checkout to make it 10-9.
The duo sent it into sudden death but Ratajski landed potentially the killer blow breaking to lead 11-10. Clemens was well back and Ratajski hit double 20 second time around to claim victory with a hold of throw.
