Raymond van Barneveld and Nathan Aspinall faced off on Sunday night at a exhibition event in Norwich. The tie ultimately proved to be a win for the Dutchman.
Michael van Gerwen managed to win 8-7 on Saturday, 'Barney' managed to beat Aspinall in another exhibition in Norwich on Saturday.
The victory went 6-3 to Van Barneveld. Statistics posted by organizer MODUS Darts show that the Dutchman threw an average of 92.81, and also recorded two 180 scores and a 74 finish. 'Barney's best leg was a 13-darter.
The next darts tournament for Van Barneveld is in the Netherlands. The five-time world champion is one of 12 Dutchmen competing in the Dutch Darts Championship in Rosmalen from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26. Aspinall is also on the entry list for the Euro Tour tournament in the Netherlands. Both players will enter the tournament from the first round.
At the same exhibition event in Norwich, Jonny Clayton and Daryl Gurney played each other earlier in the evening. Daryl Gurney prevailed 6-4 in that match. 'Superchin' threw an average of 87 and had 96 as the highest finish in this match.
