Former darts rivals Raymond van Barneveld and Phil Taylor faced each other again Saturday night in an exhibition match in York, England. The clash was won 4-1 by Van Barneveld.
The Dutchman played a lot better than "The Power," according to statistics posted by organizer MDA Events. Van Barneveld recorded an average of 93.79, compared to 83.25 for Taylor. Among other things, 'Barney' managed to throw an 11-darter and threw one 180 score.
Taylor and Van Barneveld previously met at an exhibition tournament in early December in Portsmouth. Back then Taylor won 5-4 after throwing a 167 finish.
A number of other matches were played in York in addition to the 'El Clásico of Darts'. Simon Whitlock beat Fallon Sherrock 4-0 thanks to an average of 103.66. Gerwyn Price settled 7-4 with former Masters champion Joe Cullen.
