Gerwyn Price takes title at Davey Dodds Memorial Trophy

Gerwyn Price won the Davey Dodds Memorial Trophy on Friday. This event is an exhibition tournament in Newcastle and is named after darter Davey Dodds, who died in 2017.

The field of participants included four top darters. In addition to former world champion Gerwyn Price, Chris Dobey, Fallon Sherrock and Simon Whitlock were also in attendance in Newcastle.

The players were first available for a meet & greet with fans and then played several legs against people in the audience. Then the top four players played a tournament among themselves. This was won by Price after he won over Simon Whitlock in the final.
