Record number of German participants at World Darts Championship

This year there are five German darters to be admired at the World Darts Championship. A record, because never have so many Germans been present at one edition of the most important tournament of the year.

The old record stood at four, which was reached several times. The last time was during the 2022 edition. Then Gabriel Clemens, Florian Hempel, Martin Schindler and Fabian Schmutzler were of the party at Alexandra Palace.

Three of these players are also here again this year. Clemens and Schindler qualified for the World Darts Championship via the world rankings. Hempel was one of the winners at the Tour Card qualifying tournament. They will be joined by Ricardo Pietreczko (Pro Tour qualifier) and Dragutin Horvat (winner PDC Europe Super League).
