Remarkable: Sparidaans 500th player in action on European Tour

Although he may have been defeated 6-5 by home favourite Karel Sedlacek, Jeffrey Sparidaans made a little bit of history last night at the Czech Darts Open.

The third Euro Tour debutant ant this weekend's Czech Darts Open, Sparidaans became the 500th different player to feature at a European Tour event in the history of the PDC.

Since the inaugural Austrian Darts Open back in 2012 won by Justin Pipe, 500 different players gave tried their luck on the European Tour circuit. A testament to how well the tour has helped to grow the sport of darts, David Písek

Jani Laurila and Jeffrey Sparidaans are the latest to make their Euro Tour bow but by no means will they be the last.
