Results Players Championship 3, Last 16: Van Gerwen, Wright and Durrant among Quarter-Finalists in Wigan

The Quarter-Final line-up has been confirmed for the third Players Championship event of the season with Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Glen Durrant among those through.

Van Gerwen defeated compatriot Dirk van Duijvenbode in a 6-2 win with a 104.6 average. 'Titan' kept with Mighty Mike throughout the contest but spurned chances and as usual MVG cleaned up to ease through.

Wright produced his best performance of the day to defeat Adrian Lewis and he needed it. The latter averaged 104.7 in defeated with Wright averaging a little less at 104.6 in a quality contest.

Also averaging 104 was Durrant who defeated Krzysztof Ratajski also in a 6-5 victory. Other semi-finalists include Chris Dobey who will now take on Van Gerwen after victory over Stephen Bunting.

As well as Ryan Searle who defeated Michael Smith in a 6-4 victory to end a good day for the St Helens ace.
