Results Players Championship 4, Last 16: Van Gerwen hits 107 in crushing win over Anderson, Wright ends Sedlacek's run

Van Gerwen himself produced his best display so far today when it mattered in a crushing 6-3 win over Gary Anderson averaging 107 as their rivalry continued. It was the Dutchman though who got the better of 'The Flying Scotsman' despite the latter averaging 100.

Wright also ended a run but it was the one of Karel Sedlacek - also known as 'Evil Charlie' who had an excellent day; but it was a 103.4 average for 'Snakebite' as the World Champion claimed a 6-4 victory.

Krzysztof Ratajski will face off against Gabriel Clemens with it likely to be a barnstormer judging by their results in the Last 16. The former has been the class of the field all day; he showed that with a 104 average defeating Nick Kenny 6-5.

Clemens was a lot more comprehensive defeating Adrian Lewis in a 6-3 win averaging 103 and they will now be involved in a brilliant looking Quarter-Final.

Ian White and Mensur Suljovic, two of the top seeds in the field will also face off after wins over Jamie Hughes and Glen Durrant respectively.

Maik Kuivenhoven also continued his great start to the year; he completed the Quarter-Final line-up where he will take on Wright after victory over Daniel Larsson in a quarter of the draw which has been delayed all day.
