Richardson leads top averages from opening weekend of PDC Challenge Tour

Last weekend, the first five tournaments of the 2022 PDC Challenge Tour were played. James Richardson managed to hit the highest average during the opening weekend.

Richardson hit an average of 115.62 in one of his ties making him the only player to record an average of over 110.

Stephen Burton finished in second place with an average of 106.57, while Jesus Noguera is the first non-British darts player on the list with 105.85. In the top-10 with the highest averages is also a Frenchman, because Jacques Labre scored 102.77 in one of his matches.

The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who have participated in the Q-School, but have not won a Tour Card. On this tour players can earn reserve spots for the Pro Tour 2022 and Tour Cards for 2023 and 2024. The highest ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit fill up the available spots on the Players Championship events.
