Lewy Williams made a big impression during last year's UK Open reaching the Last 64 as a Riley's Qualifier before losing in a Challenge Tour final to Jim Williams in a superb year.
Williams will now take aim at Q-School in the Final Stage and he has been better placed than most with stints playing online darts proving beneficial.
"With all this lockdown stuff, all I've done is played darts, I haven't stopped practicing. Credit to everyone who runs all the Online Darts tournaments, it's nice to have something to do. So I've played loads of them and done half decent," said Williams to Tungsten Tales.

Challenge Tour

Like alluded to, he also made an impression on the Challenge Tour with a 117 average against Richie Burnett as well as reaching a final and he is hoping for even better this year.
"I was over the moon with it actually. The first time doing it as well and reaching the final losing out to Jim (Williams), top 16 117 average against Richie Burnett. So many positives to take out of it."
"I think I achieved a little bit more than expected with the UK Open as well. A lot of bonuses, it's my first proper year taking darts seriously as well. Hopefully this year is even bigger."
Onto Q-School, he is under no illusion in terms of the standard that will be on display but he will be disappointed if he doesn't end up on the ProTour this season.
"I know the standard there is going to be quality, there's going to be no easy games especially in the second stage. I know I'm going to have to concentrate 100% but if I play my own game, I know I can definitely hold my own."
"I'm playing really well, my form is really good at the minute so I'm not going to be too confident but I'll be disappointed if I don't get a Tour Card."
