Rob Cross and
Ritchie Edhouse are the next two names to qualify for the quarter-finals at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open. They will play each other Sunday night in the last eight.
Cross was too strong for Stephen Bunting after an exciting match. The match was actually already won in the practice room, as Cross won the bull'n and all legs went with the darts.
Cross did not even give away a break opportunity in his own legs. Via two 13-darters, three 14-darters and a 15-darter the former world champion got his legs. Only in the tenth leg was there a break opportunity for Cross, which was also a matchdart. However, the bullseye was missed, but in the deciding leg "Voltage" pulled off the victory.
Edhouse took care of the elimination of Ricardo Pietreczko. It is already his second quarterfinal on the Euro Tour in 2024 for the Englishman. 'The Madhouse' took a break lead in the third leg by breaking Pietreczko via a 126 finish.
Pietreczko managed to force a rebreak in the sixth leg, but then also surrendered his own leg after Edhouse threw out 105. With a 15-darter and a 13-darter Edhouse then put a 6-3 final score on the scoreboard.
