Rodriguez produces 108 average to begin Main Stage action at UK Open, Bialecki, Schmutzler and Van Dongen through from Stage Two

The opening session of action at the 2022 UK Open has begun with Rowby-John Rodriguez the opening winner on the Main Stage.

Rodriguez produced a special display averaging nearly 109 to breeze past Bradley Brooks 6-1 with Jelle Klaasen currently locked at 4-4 against fellow Riley's qualifier, Mark Rice in the second game up.

Over on Stage Two, the games are already coming thick and fast with Jules van Dongen edging a scrappy affair against Mario Vandenbogaerde with a super 124 checkout on the bull to win.

While Fabian Schmutzler saw off Kai Fan Leung in a decider and Sebastian Bialecki breezed past Matt Campbell as the young guns rule the roost so far.

Over on the multi-board room, there have been wins for the likes of Paul Hogan, John O'Shea, Jim Williams, Richie Burnett, Damian Mol, Ryan Harrington and Ted Evetts with second round action beginning.
