Ruthless Michael Smith sets up all English final with Luke Littler at World Series of Darts Finals 2024

Michael Smith, following Luke Littler, has qualified for the final at the World Series of Darts Finals. With a victory over Peter Wright, 'Bullyboy' ensured an English final at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam.
Smith managed to create a quick advantage against Wright. After a 14-darter in the first leg, he broke 'Snakebite' with a 16-darter in the second leg. Smith then notched an 80 finish for a 3-0 lead. It wasn't until the fourth leg that Wright got on the scoreboard after a 15-darter. He then closed to 2-3 with a 17-darter.
In the second session, Smith again punched a hole. A 14-darter and a 152 finish gave the Englishman a 5-2 lead before an 11-darter and a 64 finish took Smith further out to 7-2. Wright took the final leg of the second session with a 124 finish.
After the break, the margin widened slightly. A 16-darter and a 69 finish gave Smith a 9-4 lead. Wright managed to nibble away at the deficit by coming back to 10-6. Smith then ended the match with an 18-darter.

- It seems odd that at the World Championship they have dancing ladies in hot pants and pom poms and yet the walk on ladies who were much more elegantly attired get removed from the scene. I met Daniella at Silverstone when she was a grid girl in the F1 race and was very pleasant indeed.
