Rydz emotional after Wright defeat at World Darts Championship: "I had my cry, that hurts big time"

Callan Rydz lost out in the Quarter-Finals of the PDC World Darts Championship in a thrilling clash with Peter Wright.

Rydz has been one of the stars of this tournament backing up his undoubted potential on the big stage and he released a statement on social media post match.

"Gutted I know missing that tops for 72 killed me, I just had nothing left to give," said the Bedlington ace.

"Had my cry and think, of course that hurts big time but I'll come back stronger and learn from my mistakes. Fair play to Peter, done the job in the end but heartbroken."

"The support I've had has been unbelievable, hearing Callan Callan Rydz from that crowd gave me Goosebumps. Thank you everyone for the follows, messages, the support and everything else. I'll be back next year."
