The first round concludes on Friday night in the Rock as the Gibraltar Darts Trophy serves up multiple top class tungsten tussles featuring Daryl Gurney, Rowby-John Rodriguez, Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, Chris Dobey and some home hopes too.
Starting proceedings is Rodriguez who makes his return to the European Tour and will face a tough test in Keane Barry, his brother Rusty-Jake won earlier in a comeback win but will he join him.
Then it is the return potentially for the last time given the conclusion of the tournament at least for next year of 'Dynamite' himself, Dyson Parody. Always known for his antics on stage in this tournament against Michael van Gerwen and also his classic 'Peter Who?' when he played Wright only to get thrashed. He will face Ryan Joyce who will not be phased by the potential antics and neither will Danny Noppert if he wins through.
In what is billed as the top tie of the evening, Daryl Gurney will then face Stephen Bunting followed by Chris Dobey fresh from making the latter stages of the World Grand Prix. He faces Dylan Duo Jnr as the offspring of the usual qualifier for this tournament make his debut.
It is also past and present in the next game as Josh Rock who dominated the Development Tour this year faces a player who has done so in the past in Ryan Meikle.
Then it is likely a straight shoot out for a European Championship spot as Vincent van der Voort faces Martin Schindler. Mensur Suljovic made the final last year and will face ProTour winner this season, Keegan Brown. Followed by Gabriel Clemens v Adam Hunt to conclude the night.
