Schedule and preview Friday evening session 2022 International Darts Open including Van den Bergh, Cross and Whitlock

The International Darts Open in Riesa continues on Friday evening with some big names involved aiming to reach Saturday's second round.

Lewy Williams will be aiming to continue his progression this year and he will take on former strongman, Dennis Nilsson who will harbour his own aspirations this year including making the World Cup of Darts side for Sweden.

Home hero, Florian Hempel will take on Kim Huybrechts with the Belgian putting some form together at the right time and the German finding his way into potentially claiming World Cup honours and going up the rankings himself this year.

Dimitri van den Bergh takes on Martin Lukeman fourth up with 'Smash' one of the standouts in recent ProTours. He could be an outside shot to pull of a shock and dump out 'The Dreammaker' this evening.

While Rob Cross who was cruelly denied a spot in the Premier League will aim to go about his business as the European Champion who heads into another European Tour season still title less despite winning the season ender twice aims to put that right. He faces Krzysztof Kciuk in his first round tie.

Before an all German clash which will satisfy the home crowd as the German Number One faces a home hope aiming to rekindle some of his previous form as Gabriel Clemens faces Nico Kurz.
