Schedule and preview Monday evening session 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship featuring Price and Clayton

It is the turn of the Welsh wizards this evening at the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship as Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton will resume their quest for glory at the Alexandra Palace on Monday evening.

An otherwise headliner during this tournament, the reigning World Champion will be on first this evening.

This is due to James Wade and Vincent van der Voort being cancelled after the latter contracted Covid-19. 'The Machine' now gets a bye and won't return till the Last 16.

As a result, the top tungsten testosterone filled battle between Price and Huybrechts will serve as the opener in a game with the Belgian said could be a classic.

'The Iceman' will look to send a statement to the rest of the field that the title is his when he returns but one player who could steal his thunder is his World Cup teammate.

The most successful PDC player in 2021 in Jonny Clayton has been downplayed at times in the betting odds for a perennial winner but as the phrase goes 'never underestimate a Ferret' and his next task will be the German Number One, Gabriel Clemens.

He has some history of dumping out top names at the Ally Pally accounting for Peter Wright last year and he will look to do the same against Clayton.

Evening Session (1900 GMT)

3x Third Round

James Wade bye Vincent Van der Voort

Gerwyn Price v Kim Huybrechts

Jonny Clayton v Gabriel Clemens
