Van Duijvenbode after brilliant comeback win over Smith: "If I win this next game, I can be a World Champion"

Dirk van Duijvenbode came from 3-0 down to produce a stunning comeback to dump out Ross Smith and reach the Last 16 at the PDC World Darts Championship.

To go 3-0 down, Van Duijvenbode attributed to not bringing his practice game onto the stage.

"It wasn't frustrating because I played amazing in practice and then I went on there and it felt like I had two anchors on my back. After 3-0 down, I was like throw it away and it didn't really work and eventually I win the set and now we show what we're doing and I did I think," said Van Duijvenbode post match.

But for Van Duijvenbode, he always had the belief he could turn it around.

"I always had the feeling all game through, if I play well there's no-one there because of the way I practice. With my eyes closed, I had the feeling."

"From being 3-0 down, you throw away all the tension you have. Back against the wall, play good darts otherwise you're out. That's what I thought all the way."

Price or Huybrechts await

Next up could be Gerwyn Price or Kim Huybrechts and he has the belief it could hold the key.

"I think if I win this next game, I can be a World Champion."
