Night Five is here of
Premier League Darts action as the starter to the main course of the FA Cup of Darts down the road as the UK Open takes place in Minehead is the yearly stop at Westpoint in Exeter.
For all players involved, they do not enter the latter tournament until Friday night but may already have their eyes on making the journey down to Minehead.
To begin proceedings will be a repeat of last week's final as
Michael van Gerwen faces
Gerwyn Price. Will it be repeat or revenge for Price who will feel aggrieved not to have added to his tally last week.
While
Michael Smith will be heavily backed against due to his wrist injury which played havoc last week at the Baltic Sea Darts Open. He faces ironically a player who knows too well about wrist injuries and rebuilt his career from the brink in
Nathan Aspinall.
In the other side of the draw,
Dimitri van den Bergh who has been going well so far in the Premier League will face
Chris Dobey.
While from the table topping to pointless,
Peter Wright still has no points on the board and with both Van Gerwen, Price and then the top of the table if he is bottom from there on out, the clock is firmly ticking.
He faces
Jonny Clayton who has been showing signs of a return to form and will aim to showcase that in denying Wright another opportunity to get off the mark.
