Schedule and preview Saturday afternoon session 2022 European Championship including Smith-Rock and Wade-Van Duijvenbode

The Last 16 begins on Saturday afternoon at the 2022 European Championship with a double session day in Dortmund starting with four matches headlined by Michael Smith - Josh Rock.

Starting proceedings off is a battle between teammates in the TOTO Dart Kings stable and a Double Dutch affair between Vincent van der Voort and Danny Noppert.

Van der Voort dumped out Damon Heta, while Noppert went about his business against Andrew Gilding. They now meet.

While James Wade survived in a scrappy tie against Rob Cross in which the latter being defending champion was dumped out and afterwards 'The Machine' hinted at retirement, for Van Duijvenbode, he took out Madars Razma to reach this point.

Two games that will likely take centre stage see top seed Luke Humphries who forgot his darts but still crashed in a 102 average to see off Krzysztof Ratajski face Ryan Searle who averaged the same in edging past Martin Lukeman.

Followed by a battle likely to produce power scoring as well in Smith and Rock with the latter the name on every darting fans lips at the moment but can he take the scalp of Bully Boy.
