The second round begins on Saturday afternoon at the
Hungarian Darts Trophy with some top ties set in Budapest.
Among them include Michael Smith facing Daryl Gurney, a top tie usually anyway due to the pedigree of both players - it has been heightened due to the latter’s superb win yesterday averaging 105 to ease past Nathan Rafferty 6-1.
Starting off the session is Damon Heta who will face Josh Rock, the rising Northern Irishman who has dominated the Development Tour and broke out also on the ProTour facing one of the standouts on the latter in a potential game of the day.
Another top tie sees Jonny Clayton face Dave Chisnall, while also fresh from World Series duty, Dimitri van den Bergh takes on William O’Connor. UK Open champion Danny Noppert faces Rusty-Jake Rodriguez following Heta-Rock and this is followed by two more superb ties in Ryan Searle-Karel Sedlacek and Dirk Van Duijvenbode-Chris Dobey.
The final game to discuss is Ryan Meikle who produced an 11-darter when it mattered most to defeat Gabriel Clemens, he faces Krzysztof Ratajski.
