Schedule and preview Saturday afternoon session 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship featuring Whitlock, Burnett and Gurney

With the 3rd/4th placed play-off set to take place on Saturday evening, it will be an earlier start time of 11am for the next two days double session action at the PDC World Darts Championship.

Four top names will be in action during this afternoon's session starting with Martin Lukeman, one of the stars of 2022 who will be the first on stage during the morning against Japanese qualifier Nobuhiro Yamamoto making his debut.

Then it is the turn of Simon Whitlock who is a previous finalist in this tournament and always a fans' favourite. He will have Christian Perez who showed some signs of a good game at the Grand Slam of Darts so could trouble the Wizard.

Richie Burnett follows on with his return for the first time in eight years after his previous drugs ban and will face Adam Gawlas with the full experience that the Prince of Wales brings likely on show.

While for Alan Soutar, he will head into his tie with Daryl Gurney likely as the favourite but won't take the multiple major champion likely. No matter what he will be back in work tomorrow so will aim to make his Ally Pally stay extended past the Christmas break.
