The third round is due to take place on Saturday evening at the 2021 Players Championship Finals with some tantalising tungsten ties on both stages.
It all begins with Peter Wright fresh off his controversial win over Adrian Lewis which saw them separated by security and 'Jackpot' accusing Wright of being a cheat and he faces Damon Heta who breezed through an out of sorts Gabriel Clemens.
This followed by another battle between two familiar rivals in Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson. MVG edged past Raymond van Barneveld in a high quality encounter while Anderson made light work of Ryan Meikle.
Gerwyn Price averaged 106 and looked ominous against Martin Schindler and his next test is Brendan Dolan who will look for a run befitting of his ProTour season.
While finally, in a clash that could catch light - Jonny Clayton faces off against Luke Humphries in what is bound to be a high scoring encounter.
Among the highlights on Stage Two include Ryan Searle v Rob Cross, Daryl Gurney v James Wade. As well as Jose de Sousa facing William O'Connor and Vincent van der Voort set for a clash with Danny Noppert.
