Schedule and preview Saturday evening session 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship including Rock, Van den Bergh and Ashton

After all the hype surrounding him at the back end of this year, Josh Rock is fifth favourite for the PDC World Darts Championship despite only playing in his third major tournament tonight.

But Rock will face Jose Justicia in a game which will truly test his credentials on his Alexandra Palace debut against the livewire Spaniard who will look to upset the script.

Lourence Ilagan did just that last night as he saw off Rowby-John Rodriguez and set up a clash with Dimitri van den Bergh and will hope to add misery to a poor end to the season for 'The Dreammaker' who last year lost to German ace, Florian Hempel.

Starting the night, Lisa Ashton will look to finally win a game at the showpiece event as the legendary five-time Women's World Champion faces Ryan Meikle, the solid Suffolk ace who will not be overawed by the situation in the slightest.

Cameron Menzies was looking to avoid his partner, Fallon Sherrock in the draw and did just that with Diogo Portela aiming to bring his 'Braziliance' to the Ally Pally oche.

While the Scot will look to bring his A-game with Vincent van der Voort awaiting next.

3x First Round, 1x Second Round

Ryan Meikle v Lisa Ashton (R1)

Cameron Menzies v Diogo Portela (R1)
