The Last 16 takes place on Sunday afternoon at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy with the final European Tour of the season set to reach its conclusion.
Luke Humphries and Wesley Plaisier have been two of the standouts so far this season on the European Tour. 'Cool Hand' for sealing four titles and Plaisier for his emergence as an Associate Member and will be one to watch going forward. They begin the session.
Peter Wright saw off home hope Craig Galliano yesterday and will face Ryan Searle who battled past William O'Connor in a superb display. Josh Rock was brilliant as he continued his whirlwind 2022 and his next task will be Jonny Clayton.
Rob Cross heads into his European Championship defense in two weeks and will look to finally add his maiden European Tour. He faces Ryan Joyce next.
While after a 106 average, Michael van Gerwen will look to make it back-to-back titles over the past two weeks after winning the World Grand Prix. He faces Jose de Sousa who has been resurgent but blows hot and cold so could be a 105 average or an 85.
Nathan Aspinall produced the comeback of all comebacks as he saw off Vincent van der Voort from 5-0 and seven match darts down. Another Dutchman stands in his way in Dirk van Duijvenbode.
While speaking of resurgence, Mensur Suljovic has returned to the stage in a new look shirt and new darts and has been superb. Reaching the final last season, he will look to end a poor year with victory over Gabriel Clemens and a further run.
Before ending the session is a tie which has happened time and time again as of late in Joe Cullen facing Damon Heta.
