With only three more sessions to go until Christmas at the PDC
World Darts Championship, the best session on paper takes place on the penultimate night as a two-time champion, former semi-finalist and multiple Quarter-Finalist in his breakout year in action.
In years gone by,
Gary Anderson would've headlined nights like this but instead sits first on the bill after a year which has seen him play often in the afternoon sessions of tournaments and not at his high status after results have downturned.
But many will know that Anderson, a two-time winner at the Ally Pally has a run in him as two years ago pointed out behind closed doors. Write off 'The Flying Scotsman' at your peril but the same can go for his opponent, Madars Razma who has been having the best year of his career and will have confidence to topple the Scot.
James Wade similarly has not been at his best with health issues after being rushed to the hospital during a European Tour not helping his cause.
On the mend and sealing a ProTour title, he is still not back at his clinical best and will take on Jim Williams to start his campaign.
While the two games of the night likely come from the final two as
Luke Humphries, a multiple-time Quarter-Finalist who has made his name in this tournament has also had a breakout year dominating the European Tour in part and is firmly in the conversation for the Premier League.
As well as winning the Sid Waddell Trophy in early January but he faces Florian Hempel who has form for updating the big names after seeing off Dimitri van den Bergh last year. Can he do it again?
Before a frenetic clash between two of darts' top entertainers as Cameron Menzies faces Vincent van der Voort. A blink and you'll miss it clash but also one which will see both not hold back on their disgruntlement if it goes wrong. A top session awaits.
