For
Danny Jansen, the
World Darts Championship is over after the second round. The Dutchman lost 3-1 in sets to Krzysztof Ratajski in the second round on Thursday afternoon.
The doubles just wouldn't fall for Jansen, who hit only 6 of his 31 darts, a finishing percentage of 19 percent. Ratajski, by the way, was not very accurate on the doubles either (29 percent with 9/31).
''I'm annoyed that I didn't hit them'' Jansen told Viaplay afterwards about his misses on the doubles. ''I missed too many. That can happen, but is a learning moment. I think it was mainly due to tension and nerves. I know I have much better game in me, it's frustrating when that doesn't come out.''
However, he closed his interview on a positive note. ''At least I reached the second round at my first World Championship. That makes me happy again, too."
Jansen then joined the other Dutch press for an analysis, and there 'The Mullet' was even a little harsher on himself. ''Goddamn, here we go again,'' was how he described his thought after the first misses in the first set.
''Up to 1-1 I was throwing nicely, but after that the same s**t just starts again.'' The percentage of doubles was just sh*** again''
