After the storm surrounding her late inclusion in the PDC
World Darts Championship,
Fallon Sherrock will take to the stage on Tuesday evening aiming to prove the doubters wrong and return to her role as the Queen of the Palace and delighting the Ally Pally faithful.
Taking on the unenviable task is 'Rapid' Ricky Evans. After previously walking on with masks on his head and to the YMCA, he will aim to dispel some of the likely crowd support that Sherrock will receive.
His last defeat came back in 2019 in the first round so will aim to count on previous World Championship form including three second rounds and two third rounds. The winner faces Joe Cullen.
While another top attraction will be the doyen of Dutch darts, sound the alarm as the five-time World Champion from the Hague is back at the Alexandra Palace rejuvenated and hoping to book another tie with Gerwyn Price - that of course is
Raymond van Barneveld.
Having his number in two Grand Slam ties, Van Barneveld will first have to get past a rock solid Ryan Meikle who saw off Lisa Ashton in the opening round and kept his cool amid a late comeback.
Before those two ties are Jim Williams and Jamie Hughes who will face two debutants in Sebastian Bialecki and Jimmy Hendriks in two games which could produce amid the hype of the other two. A top evening awaits at the Palace.
