Schedule confirmed for 2021 European Championship

Peter Wright will begin the defence of his European Championship title on the opening night with the schedule now revealed for the Salzburg based tournament which is due to take place between October 14-17.

He will face Florian Hempel in a tournament which sees the top 32 players from the European Tour comprising the two events played.

The likes of Simon Whitlock, Rob Cross, Jose de Sousa and Luke Humphries are also involved in a bumper session to begin the tournament.

While Friday night sees a further eight first round ties with top seed Gerwyn Price facing Ritchie Edhouse. While Michael van Gerwen takes on Croatian ace, Boris Krcmar.

Also involved include James Wade and Michael Smith with the latter in a bumper clash with Ryan Searle.

The second round continues on Saturday October 16, before the tournament concludes on Sunday October 17.
