Schedule confirmed for 2022 Grand Slam of Darts: Defending champion Price to headline opening session, Wright-Sherrock on Saturday night

The schedule has been confirmed ahead of the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts taking place between November 12-20 with Gerwyn Price, Raymond van Barneveld, Rob Cross and Joe Cullen set to open the tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Price the defending champion is alongside Michael Smith in closing out the session with 'Bully Boy' set to face Lisa Ashton and 'The Iceman' taking on Ted Evetts. 'Barney' faces Dave Chisnall, while also on the schedule are ties for Simon Whitlock against Mensur Suljovic and Dirk van Duijvenbode taking on Martin Schindler.

A top session awaits on Saturday night with all eyes as usual on Peter Wright the World Champion facing the Queen of the Palace, Fallon Sherrock in her last TV appearance of the year as she won't head back to the Ally Pally next month.

But memories of last year will likely dominate with a 170 checkout against Gabriel Clemens and pushing Wright to the limit who she instead has first up in Wolverhampton.

Also in action includes the latest major winner Ross Smith against Luke Woodhouse, rising star Josh Rock facing Ryan Searle, Luke Humphries taking on Scott Williams and Michael van Gerwen aiming to continue his superb Sky Sports run of winning every major shown on the channel since the Premier League when he faces Nathan Rafferty.
