The PDC top players travel to Copenhagen this week, hosting the Nordic Darts Masters this weekend. It is the third World Series tournament of the season, following previous events in Bahrain and the Netherlands.
The World Series season got underway in mid-January with the Bahrain Darts Masters, where Stephen Bunting won the title at the expense of Gerwyn Price. At the Dutch Darts Masters in Rosmalen, Bunting reached the final again, but then he had to leave the title to Rob Cross.

Michael van Gerwen is missing from Copenhagen this weekend. 'Mighty Mike' was originally invited to the Nordic Darts Masters but withdrew after his split from long-time wife Daphne. Van Gerwen does not want to return to darts until the divorce is properly settled.
Chris Dobey is Van Gerwen's replacement. Dobey won a Players Championship tournament earlier this season and recently made two Euro Tour quarterfinals. Nevertheless, there are still two bonus Dutchmen in action at this World Series tournament. He faces Jeffrey de Graaf, who has been darts under Swedish nationality for several years now. De Graaf missed the first few months of the season due to the birth of his child, but has somewhat made up for lost time by reaching a Players Championship final.
Gerwyn Price is the defending champion at the Nordic Darts Masters, after he defeated Madars Razma (6-2), Dimitri van den Bergh (6-1), Michael Smith (7-3) and Rob Cross (8-5) last year. Like De Graaf, Cor Dekker was born in the Netherlands, but has been living in Norway for thirteen years now. Earlier this year 'The Sheriff' surprisingly won a Tour Card at the Q-School, allowing him two seasons on the PDC circuit. It is not yet very successful, because in the first sixteen Players Championship tournaments Dekker only managed to book five victories. He faces Price.

Rob Cross has been handed perhaps the toughest opponent on paper. Andreas Harrysson is currently without a Tour Card, but showed ironclad form at the European Darts Open in Leverkusen last weekend. The Swede defeated Raymond van Barneveld and Michael Smith, before narrowly giving way to Damon Heta. With a World Series title in the Netherlands and a Players Championship title, Cross got off to an excellent start to the new season, but then 'Voltage' has stalled considerably. His last quarterfinal, meanwhile, dates back to February.
At the end of last season, Luke Humphries finally won his first ever World Series title, so there is no need for 'Cool Hand Luke' to balk at that anymore. Recently, Humphries was able to check the box again as he crowned himself the winner of the Premier League Darts. With Madars Razma, he meets an opponent with problems outside the darts circuit, the Latvian recently announced. A fire caused devastation in his home, and due to subsequent disappointing results, Razma is currently in a mental struggle with himself.
What a year Nathan Aspinall has already had. 'The Asp' already reached three major-quarter-finals in 2025, reached the play-offs of the Premier League Darts and has already won two Euro Tour tournaments this season. Only three players earned more prize money in 2025 than the Englishman, who does threaten to drop in the world rankings in the coming months because he must defend a World Matchplay title in July. Benjamin Reus will be his first opponent in Copenhagen. The Dane is currently in his second Tour Card year. Here and there Reus shows some nice results, but it is too shaky to really make his mark. His highlight so far is a quarterfinal place at a Players Championship tournament in September 2024.
Last year Luke Littler was missing from the Nordic Darts Masters. At the time, 'The Nuke' already had a family vacation scheduled in Florida, which prevented him from traveling to Denmark. Littler, meanwhile, already has two World Series titles under his belt with final wins in Bahrain and Poland in 2024, while he also took title at the World Series Finals. The reigning world champion will battle 24-year-old Viktor Tingstrom, who has had a Tour Card since this year. At Players Championship 16 in May, the Swede reached the last 32, but at 14 of 16 floor tournaments he was eliminated in the first round.
Stephen Bunting is currently the proud leader on the World Series Order of Merit, after two consecutive finishes at the beginning of this year. At the Bahrain Darts Masters, 'The Bullet' won a World Series tournament for the first time in his career. Later in the season, Bunting also won a weekly Premier League title and picked up a Euro Tour title. His opponent Oskar Lukasiak is also one of the newcomers to the PDC Pro Tour this year. Lukasiak is doing slightly better than his compatriot Tingstrom, but also only came to six wins on the Players Championship circuit.
In the final match of the evening it is the turn of Jonny Clayton, one of the most successful players of recent weeks. 'The Ferret' won a Players Championship tournament in April, and was the big winner at the Dutch Darts Championship in Rosmalen at the end of May. Last weekend, the Welshman asserted himself again with a semifinal place at the European Darts Open. He will meet Darius Labanauskas, who currently no longer holds a PDC Tour Card. However, there is a good chance that 'Lucky D' will return to the PDC Pro Tour next year, as Labanauskas is currently number one on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit after three titles in the first 15 tournaments.

This amount increases further upon winning matches. The losing finalist collects a check for 10,000 pounds, while the winner of the Nordic Darts Masters gets to take home the top prize of 20,000 pounds. By the way, the money does not count toward the PDC Order of Merit.
However, points can be picked up for the World Series Order of Merit. All participants in a World Series tournament are guaranteed one point for the World Series Order of Merit.
