Monday night are the final group matches in Groups A-B-C-D at the Grand Slam of Darts as the knockout spots get filled up.
Starting the night though Gian van Veen and Berry van Peer are out of contention and lost their first two matches last weekend and can at best finish third in their group. They both meet a player already assured of a spot in the knockout phase. Van Veen takes on Gerwyn Price, while Van Peer faces Josh Rock;
Also in Price and Van Veen's group is Nathan Rafferty. They will decide among themselves who will continue with 'The Iceman'. The same goes for Jonny Clayton and Chris Dobey in Group B.
In Groups A and C everything is still possible. First of all Gary Anderson and Steve Lennon play each other in Group C. Lennon can only continue if he wins 5-1 against Gary Anderson and Dirk van Duijvenbode loses 5-0 to Luke Humphries. If Van Duijvenbode loses and Anderson wins, the Scot is through anyway. Humphries needs only one leg to reach the last sixteen anyway.
In Group A, all four players can still advance to the next round. Nathan Girvan needs a big win over Krzysztof Ratajski anyway to have any chance. With a 5-2 victory over Girvan, Ratajski is through to the last sixteen. With a worse result, the Pole depends on James Wade's result against Michael Smith. The latter is still undefeated, but will probably have to beat Wade to actually reach the second round.
