Schedule Players Championship Finals 2023: Van Gerwen, Humphries and Wade among those battling for spot in quarter-finals on Saturday night

There are still plenty of top quality players competing at the Players Championship Finals, where the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries and James Wade will compete for a spot in the last eight on Saturday night.
It is the final session of the tournament using two stages. The program on the main stage begins with a showdown between Kim Huybrechts and Stephen Bunting. Huybrechts shocked earlier in the day with a win over Gerwyn Price, while Bunting was responsible for eliminating Gian van Veen.
The second game of the evening is between Michael van Gerwen and Mario Vandenbogaerde. For 'Super Mario' it is to be hoped that Van Gerwen does not throw as well as he did Saturday afternoon. Then 'Mighty Mike' recorded an average of over 118 in his match against Ross Smith. Top favorite Luke Humphries crosses swords with good friend Ryan Searle, while Dimitri van den Bergh and James Wade face each other in the last match on the main stage.
The program on the second stage will be opened by Damon Heta and Brendan Dolan. They both managed to win from a Dutchman on Saturday afternoon. Heta dealt with Kevin Doets, while Dolan was too strong for Maik Kuivenhoven.
Dave Chisnall will face Luke Woodhouse, who eliminated former world champion Rob Cross. Niels Zonneveld, after victories over Daryl Gurney and Jonny Clayton, will try to create another surprise against Gabriel Clemens. The program on the second stage concludes with an encounter between Jermaine Wattimena and Ryan Joyce.

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
