Eight men are still in the race for overall victory at the Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch including five home hopes as well as the usual faces. They will battle for a spot in the last four early Saturday night.
Only in the first quarterfinal will there be no Dutchman in action. The first match of the evening is a battle between Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, a repeat of the World Championship final. That was won 7-4 in sets by Humphries.
Kevin Doets will take on Gerwyn Price in the second match. Doets caused a surprise for his own crowd by eliminating two-time world champion Peter Wright. Price was too strong for defending champion Dimitri van den Bergh.
The duel the Dutch fans are especially looking forward to is the cracker between Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld. Another Dutch encounter will follow, as Danny Noppert and Gian van Veen will also meet for a spot in the semifinals of the Dutch Darts Masters.
