We have already reached the sixth round of the UK Open Darts 2025. Sixteen are still in the race for the title, but before the final day arrives, one more draw takes place.

Meanwhile, the chances of a new name on the UK Open honor roll are growing. Among others, Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Gary Anderson, Andrew Gilding and Danny Noppert have already been eliminated. Of the remaining players, only James Wade (2008, 2011 and 2021), Nathan Aspinall (2019) and Dimitri van den Bergh (2024) have already won the FA Cup of Darts.

The schedule on the main stage begins with a showdown between Michael Smith and Dimitri van den Bergh. Smith recorded his first wins of the season at this tournament against Kevin Doets (10-6) and Madars Razma (10-7), which at least boosted his confidence. Van den Bergh dealt with Raymond van Barneveld (10-6) and Chris Dobey (10-9). Luke Littler followed up his narrow 10-9 victory over Peter Wright with a resounding 10-4 win over Jermaine Wattimena. After averaging 108.69 against Wright, 'The Nuke' posted 104.21 average this time. So Krzysztof Ratajski will have to pull out all the stops to make it exciting against Littler. The Pole previously won against Joe Cullen (10-4) and Dave Chisnall (10-8).

After a hard-fought 10-7 victory over Beau Greaves, Luke Humphries effortlessly advanced through the fifth round Saturday afternoon by knocking off his good friend Ryan Searle 10-0. It earned him a friendly with Ryan Joyce. 'Relentless' previously eliminated Andrew Gilding (10-8) and Danny Lauby (10-3). The final match on the main stage is between Josh Rock and Rob Cross, two men who had to play hard in the previous round. Rock triumphed 10-9 against Ross Smith, while Cross was too strong for Danny Noppert after a final leg.

The other four matches at the last sixteen will be played on the second stage, where there is still room for several hundred fans to see some of the big names at work. The evening begins there with a showdown between Martin Schindler and Jonny Clayton. Schindler escaped elimination Saturday afternoon against Dylan Slevin, who was unable to cash in on an 8-4 and 9-7 lead. It was Schindler who won the match 10-9. Clayton also needed a comeback, as he lost the first five legs of his match against Alan Soutar. 'The Ferret' eventually pulled ahead 10-7.

Next up is Robert Owen, who provided the biggest surprise of the day by eliminating Michael van Gerwen 10-8. He now meets James Wade, who turned a 7-9 deficit against Cameron Menzies into a 10-9 victory. Gian van Veen has to save the Dutch honor in Minehead. After wins over Nick Kenny (10-4) and Stephen Burton (10-7), Damon Heta is now the opponent. Heta reached the last sixteen for the third time in four editions by defeating Kim Huybrechts (10-2) and Connor Scutt (10-7). The program in the Center Stage, as the venue is remarkably called court 2, was closed by Nathan Aspinall and William O'Connor. Aspinall was responsible for the elimination of Jurjen van der Velde (10-2) in the fifth round. O'Connor recorded an equally resounding 10-3 victory over Mensur Suljovic.
