Saturday evening the last eight matches of the second round of the Belgian Darts Open are scheduled at the Oktoberhallen in Wieze. With a line-up full of darts giants, it promises to be a night full of spectacle.
Among others, Luke Humphries will take on Mike de Decker as 'Cool Hand' battles the home faithful. Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price also highlight. Follow the Belgian Darts Open 2025 also via our LIVE SCORE!
James Wade v Raymond van Barneveld
The evening begins with a classic: James Wade takes on Raymond van Barneveld. Van Barneveld managed to qualify through a 6-4 victory over Cam Crabtree in the first round. James Wade was one of the players who benefited from the new Euro Tour rules. Last year, 'The Machine' had to start from the first round each time, but because as of this year the world ranking is used for the seeding list, Wade enters from the second round. In the head-to-head it is particularly close between the two players who first met in 2006. Wade holds a narrow 25-24 lead over Van Barneveld.
Peter Wright v Matt Campbell
Matt Campbell was responsible for one of the surprises in the first round of the Belgian Darts Open on Friday. The Ninja survived six matchdarts in his match against Cameron Menzies. He now faces Peter Wright, who at times again shows the top level we have come to expect from him. It is now important for 'Snakebite' to become more consistent, because he still often has games in which he drops to the bottom line. Since the circuit's inception in 2012, he has only missed six. Meanwhile, Wright stands at nine Euro Tour titles, in addition to eleven lost finals.
Gerwyn Price v Gian van Veen
Gian van Veen had to pull out all the stops to deal with James Hurrell in the first round on Friday. Van Veen trailed 1-4 against the Englishman, but then won five legs in a row. It delivers him a cracker against Gerwyn Price. 'The Iceman' will hunt for glory on the Euro Tour this year. From 2018 he always won at least one Euro Tour title a year, but last year this series came to an end. In fact, it was so lean that Price lost his opening match at five Euro Tour tournaments in a row. The chances of something like this happening to the Welshman again in 2025 do not seem very good. In the first few months of the season, Price has shown to have boosted his game. He has already won a Players Championship title and a weekly Premier League Darts title.
Dimitri Van den Bergh v Martin Schindler
Dimitri van den Bergh is the first Belgian to take the stage in the Oktoberhallen on Saturday night. 'The Dreammaker' will be eager to achieve success in front of his own audience, as his results on the Belgian Euro Tours have been particularly poor in the past. Never before did Van den Bergh make the final day at a Euro Tour tournament played in Belgium, something he can achieve immediately against Martin Schindler. Schindler was already in action in the first round. The German trailed 1-3 against Jim Long, but managed to win 6-3 after five consecutive legs.
Luke Humphries faces home hope Mike de Decker.

Luke Humphries v Mike de Decker
Another top affair the Belgian public will be presented with is the repeat of the 2024 World Grand Prix final. Then Mike de Decker managed to win from Luke Humphries in sensational fashion to capture his first major title. Immediately after his 6-5 victory over Thomas Lovely, De Decker already joked whether his duel against Humphries could not be played in the double-in double-out format. The Belgian will have to make some moves to stand a good chance against the world number one. Against Lovely, the dart player from Mechelen had a poor average of just 86.33. With Humphries he meets one of the best players on the Euro Tour in recent years. In the past three seasons the Englishman captured seven Euro Tour titles and Humphries also finished as a losing finalist six times.
Luke Littler v Ryan Searle
In the sixth match of the evening, it's time for the defending champion in Wieze. Last year, Luke Littler managed to crown his Euro Tour debut immediately by winning his first Euro Tour title. Moreover, 'The Nuke' treated the Belgian fans to a nine-darter in his final against Rob Cross. Since then, Littler's status has risen to even greater heights. Meanwhile, the English teenage sensation is the reigning Premier League winner and world champion. Ryan Searle faces the task of reaching the third round of the Belgian Darts Open at Littler's expense. Searle does already have one match behind him at this tournament. In the first round, "Heavy Metal" easily won 6-2 over Darryl Pilgrim.
Michael van Gerwen v Boris Krcmar
Michael van Gerwen also begins his tournament on Saturday night. The winner of the 2023 Belgian Darts Open faces Boris Krcmar in the second round. Some expected Josh Rock to be here, but the Croatian surprisingly won 6-3 over the Northern Irishman on Friday. With Van Gerwen, Krcmar meets a player who is struggling with his form for now in 2025. The play of 'Mighty Mike' has so far been too shaky to compete for the titles. At the World Masters and UK Open, Van Gerwen was eliminated early, while in the Premier League he also has yet to reach a weekly final. The Euro Tour was once the terrain where Van Gerwen was supreme. Between 2013 and 2019, Van Gerwen won no fewer than 32 of the 69 Euro Tour tournaments he played. After that, the spoils became a lot less. In the last 38 Euro Tour tournaments, Van Gerwen went home victorious only five times.

Chris Dobey v Dirk van Duijvenbode
In the final match of the evening session, Chris Dobey and Dirk van Duijvenbode battle for a spot in the eighth finals. Van Duijvenbode's tournament was hanging by a thread on Friday, but 'Aubergenius' managed to make up for his 1-4 deficit against Darius Labanauskas in phenomenal fashion. With his back against the wall successively finished off a 12-darter, 13-darter, 11-darter, 12-darter and a 16-darter to grab the win. Dobey, as number eleven on the seedings list, is directly admitted to the second round of the Belgian Darts Open. 'Hollywood' had a solid Euro Tour season last year with two semifinals, but will no doubt be hoping to reach another Euro Tour final in 2025 for the first time since 2019.

TV Guide

The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Belgian Darts Open consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 1 p.m., while the evening sessions start at 7 p.m.
The first round will take place on Friday, where the 16 Pro Tour players will face 16 players who emerged from the various qualifying tournaments. The winners of these matches will face a player from the top-16 of the world rankings in the second round on Saturday. The third round will be played on Sunday afternoon, before the quarterfinals, semifinals and final are completed on Sunday evening.

Distribution of prize money

All participants starting from the first round are guaranteed £1250 in prize money, while the top-16 enter from the second round and receive £2,500 anyway. This amount eventually rises to the grand prize of £30,000 for the winner.
An important detail is that players who are automatically seeded via the Order of Merit and lose their first match will not be awarded prize money on the various rankings. This does apply to qualifiers who are later designated as seeded by the withdrawal of others.
