It is the fourth time that the Belgian Darts Open will take place. Since 2022, the Oktoberhallen in Wieze has hosted this tournament. In 2022, Dave Chisnall took the title by beating Andrew Gilding (8-6), while Michael van Gerwen ran away with the overall victory in 2023. Van Gerwen then won in the final over Luke Humphries (8-6). Luke Littler is the defending champion in Wieze, after crowning his Euro Tour debut with the title last year. He was too strong for Rob Cross in the final 8-7, after throwing a nine darter earlier in the final.

TV Guide
The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Belgian Darts Open consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12p.m., while the evening sessions start at 6p.m.
The first round will take place on Friday, where the 16 Pro Tour players will face 16 players who emerged from the various qualifying tournaments. The winners of these matches will face a player from the top-16 of the world rankings in the second round on Saturday. The third round will be played on Sunday afternoon, before the quarterfinals, semifinals and final are completed on Sunday evening.
Distribution of prize money
All participants starting from the first round are guaranteed £1250 in prize money, while the top-16 enter from the second round and receive £2,500 anyway. This amount eventually rises to the grand prize of £30,000 for the winner.
An important detail is that players who are automatically seeded via the Order of Merit and lose their first match will not be awarded prize money on the various rankings. This does apply to qualifiers who are later designated as seeded by the withdrawal of others.

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025
